Live clutter free. Live chaos free.™
Food! Something we gravitate towards multiple times in the day… Sticky hands, leaky bottles… No wonder the fridge gets messy so easily. Now let's get to it, step by step:
1. Remove everything from the fridge. I mean everything – food, jars, bottles, shelves, and drawers too!
2. While you were removing stuff, you probably got a good idea of what’s in there and what you don’t use or might be expired. This will make getting rid of all the old, moldy, and expired stuff easier. Get that junk out of there and into the trash can!
3. Wash down the shelves and drawers. Wipe them down with a towel and replace them in the fridge.
4. Replace the condiments while trying to organize things in a way that’s easy and accessible to your needs. Keep breakfast items like butter, jam, and cheese together. Sauces and dressings can also stay together, on the door perhaps where it’s easy to see and grab. Things you don’t use as much can be put toward the back, in order of usage.
That’s it, you’re done!!! Not so bad right? The organization part can be tough, (trying to find a system that works for you) if you haven’t cleaned out your fridge in a while. You might have to experiment and move things around over the next few days, but if you do this every couple of weeks or even once a month, then you will figure out how to place things in order of relevance and convenience, which will help keep your fridge stay in pristine condition!
Tip: Dollar store plastic baskets and bins come in handy to store like items and keep the fridge looking orderly and clean.
